Mildred Bernita Cook, age 61, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at UPMC Hamot Hospital.
She was born on February, 18, 1960, in Lake Province, Louisiana, the fourth daughter to Mose and Willie Mae (Dunn) Crosby.
Mildred graduated from Academy High School, Class of 1979. She was an inspector for Berry Global for over 21 years. Mildred was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 771. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Mildred was the life of the party and loved to dance. She enjoyed bingo, gambling, game shows and was an avid Steelers fan.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her nephew, DaQuan “Pooh“ Crosby; and her great nephew, Montreece Spain.
Mildred will be forever loved by her mother; her three children, Antwan Crosby, Shawntrale (James) Crosby, and Nakita (Brian) Caine; grandchildren, Alana Crosby, Aberiana Morgan, Aushanique Crosby, Kenyatta Griffin, Zymeria Crosby, and Amari Tate; a great grandson, Amir Morgan; siblings, Frances (James) Spain, James Crosby, Gloria Jean (John) Hammond, Deborah Crosby, Matthew Crosby, Benny Crosby, Pam Crosby, Diane Crosby and Ronny (Judith) Crosby; and her very special significant other, Larry Hales.
