Michaelina Rumpf

Michaelina J. (Pisano) Rumpf, age 86, of Erie passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge. She was born October 26, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Crisanti) Pisano.

An excellent pianist, Mickey played for churches in Philadelphia, for family and friends, and later as a volunteer in Senior Centers and Assisted Living Centers in Erie. She loved to dance and was a member for many years of the Stardust Dance Club.  Always one of the most fashionably dressed in any room, Mickey loved to shop and was always up for any social engagement.  She worked as a secretary for the Lou Colussi Law firm. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John C. Rumpf who died in 2000.

Mickey is survived by her three children; Meg Winter and her husband Don of Sausalito, CA; Debbie Hahn and her husband Bill of Athens, TN, and John Rumpf and his wife Leigh of Cincinnati, OH. She is the grandmother of Michelle and Kyle Hahn and Sophia Rumpf. Also surviving is a beloved partner, Bernie MacCabe of Erie, her brother, Gene Pisano and his wife Anita of Philadelphia, PA, and her sister, Gussie Mazzoni and her husband Bernie of Weeki Wachee, FL.  She has numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Friends will be received Friday February 11, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 2401 W.38^th St. from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated.

Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
