Michael Sheehan

     Michael J. Sheehan, 63, of Erie and formerly of Lawrence Park, died unexpectedly Tues., Sept. 25, 2012 at UPMC Hamot.  He was born Sept. 7, 1949 in Erie, son of Phyllis Baker Sheehan Davis and the late Thomas A. Sheehan.  A 1967 graduate of Iroquois High School, he participated in the G.E. Apprentice Program and continued to work at G.E. for over 30 years until his retirement in 2002.  He was a member of the Cascade and National Clubs, was an avid Oakland Raider fan, enjoyed all sports and gardening.
     He was preceded in death by a son, Michael S. Sheehan.
     In addition to his mother of Lawrence Park, survivors include his wife, Kimberly Fries Sheehan; three sons, Cory Sheehan (Stela) of Naples, FL, and Chad and Kyle Sheehan of Erie; four stepchildren, Jason Fries (Michelle) of Anderson, IN, and Maria Ortez, Felecia Ortez (Shawn) and Russell Graziano, all of Erie; a brother, Thomas Sheehan (Lori) of Harborcreek; four sisters, Patricia Bules (Ron) of Fairview, Cynthia Sheehan (Tom) of Pgh., Maureen Brown (Larry) of Wesleyville, and Therese Perry (Mark) of Lawrence Park; and five grandchildren, Elena, Evan and Emelia Fries and Lexus and Timothy Conner.  He is further survived by an aunt, an uncle, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
     Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service there at 7 p.m.  The Rev. Nancy Robertson of First Church of God will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 823 Filmore Ave., Erie, PA 16505.
