Michael James Perry, age 56, died on Monday August 31, 2015 unexpectedly of natural causes. He was born on November 2, 1958 in Oil City, PA, a son of June Morris and James Perry.
Mike graduated from Tech Memorial High School and immediately began his working career at Super Duper/Festival Foods, GAF and then Presque Isle Downs. For a period of time he ran his own business M&D Oil. He was currently working at Reid Petroleum.
He was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church and SONS of Lake Erie. Mike was an outdoorsman, an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed his camp in Tionesta. He was also hardworking and gifted musically. Mike enjoyed playing guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, drums and keyboard. His generous and caring spirit will be missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years Theresa (Haskell) Perry; his siblings: Karen (Tony) Donikowski of Edinboro, Tom (Donna) Perry of Pittsburgh, Kathy (Jim) Bifulco of Lima, OH, and Barb (Rich) MacIsaac of Erie; his in-laws Ron and Diana Ames and several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews and one great niece. He is further survived by his dear friends Bob Fuchs and Dean Morehouse as well as many others.
Friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 11am at Kingsley United Methodist Church, 913 Cranberry St., Erie, PA 16502, with Rev. Harold Blair officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, 602 W. 10th St.
