Michael Gormley

Michael John Gormley, age 59, of Erie, died unexpectedly at St. Vincent Health Center on April 3, 2015. He was born in Erie, Pa. on September 6, 1955 a son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Galza Gormley. After graduating from East High School in 1973, Michael worked for National Fuel for many years and most recently was a crew chief retiring in 2010. He was a great jokester and loved making people laugh. He was a fan of both the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He also enjoyed golfing, cooking and working in the yard. He was also past President of the Erie Maennerchor Club. In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph Bille. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Wild Gormley to whom he was married to for 22 Years along with a son, Adam Gormley of Erie,his sister, Dorothy Bille of Girard; two stepsons; Michael Dvorak (Melissa) of Erie and Richard Dvorak (Renee) of Clarion, Pa. Seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive along with several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and 7:00 till 9:00 pm at Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, Erie, Pa. 16506 and are invited to services there on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
