Michael Anthony Golson

Michael Anthony Golson, age 62, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at UPMC Hamot Hospital after an extended illness. 

He was born on January 10, 1962, in Selma Alabama, to Harry F. and Ida Mae Williams Golson.

After graduation from high school, Michael served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was an avid sports fan, especially basketball and football. He enjoyed buying cars. He loved shopping and had a fairly large shoe collection. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Palmer.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind to cherish him in memory his wife, Margarita Torres Golson; children, Nina Adrover, Jose Adrover (wife Lisa Cruz), Tanika West-Odlum (husband Ray), Michael Golson, Kiara Golson, Tieara Walker, and Alex Adrover (wife Megan); sister, Cynthia Golson and brothers, Keith Golson, Timothy Golson and Steve Golson. He is further survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and soon to be 4 great-grandchildren.

Downtown, 602 West 10^th Street on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27 at Iglesia Bautista El Calvario FG, 6366 West Lake Road. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
