Michael Galena

Michael “Mike” Galena, age 87, of Erie entered into rest on November 18th at the Veteran’s Medical Center, Erie.

Born in Erie on January 30, 1926, he was the son of the late Wassell and Anna Brodawski Galena.

Mike was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served during the Pacific Theatre during WW II.

Mike was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wassell, Leo, Walter, Edward; sisters Irene and her late husband Joseph, Ruth, Anna and Helen; sister-in-law, Jayne

Survivors include a dear brother Frank, Daniel and his wife Claire both of New York. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 22nd at Erie County Memorial Gardens with Fr. Michael DeMartinis officiating.
