Michael J. “Mike” Clutter, age 61, of Millcreek, passed away Wednesday January 24, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Michael was born January 30, 1956, in Pittsburgh, son of Patricia Schrecengost Folmer and the late Donald Halle Clutter.
Mike graduated from McDowell High School and was a professional driver, driving for the Erie Cab Company for over 35 years.
Mike loved to ride motorcycles, the outdoors and hiking. He especially enjoyed the beach and spending time at Presque Isle. Yoga was a very important part of his life. Mike was a very spiritual person and embraced the common beliefs of many religions.
The most important part of Mike’s life was his family and especially his seven grandchildren, whom he loved spending time with.
In addition to his father Michael was preceded in death by his father, Donald H. Clutter, step-father Vern “Bucky” Folmer, a brother Donald P. Clutter and a sister Deborah L. Ellis.
Along with his mother, Michael is survived by his son Michael A. Clutter (Michelle) of North East, seven grandchildren, Kailee, Max, Cameron, Jordan, Christian, Isac and Lachan; a great-grandson Dominick, sisters Patricia A. Oscar (Vincent) and Sandra L. Long (Matthew) and many loving nieces and a loving nephew.
Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street Erie, PA 16506.
