Michael W. Boothe

Michael W. Boothe (Joe) age 59 of Girard, passed early morning on November 23, 2023, at his home following a battle with cancer.

He was born in Orange County, FL on May 29, 1964, a son of the late Ralph and Orletta Anderson Boothe.

A graduate of Big Creek High School in War, West Virigina, he then went on to service his country in the United States Army and Navy.  He worked in the Kitchen at the VA Medical Center here in Erie before becoming fully retired, loved vacationing at the beach, spending time with his grandchildren and watching football.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Kerry and Tom Boothe; three sisters: Liane Boothe at an early age; Shana Boothe; and April Moore.

Michael is survived by his wife Stacey Houseman Boothe; daughters: Carol June Boothe of Virginia and Adriana Houseman of Minersville, PA; a sister: Misty Powell of Erie; three grandchildren: Wyatt, Wesley, and Adeline; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may attend a celebration of life at the Fairview American Legion, 7605 Maple St. in Fairview on December 9^th from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. With a 21-gun salute at noon.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East. Girard.
