Maurice Cooley

Maurice Cooley, age 49, of Erie, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Erie, Pa on March 2, 1973 to Claudette Tangle Cooley, and the late Willie Earl “Bob” Cooley.

Maurice graduated from Strong Vincent High School. He was a ladies man, who loved to fish, was a die-hard Raiders fan, and loved cracking jokes with everyone. Maurice was a hard worker, he worked at Wave Point 3PL as a machine operator.

He is survived by his mother Claudette Cooley, his only brother Duane Cooley (Brandi Carlgren), and his children; Quinteara, Maurice Jr., Amonee, Kamari, Rhianna, Razona, Razon, Rasheeda, Riaja, Romeo, and Izaha Cooley.  He is further survived by his grandchildren; Donte Cooley, Cassidy Cooley, Ca’Mya Cooley, Da’Reese Cooley, Tryic Lloyd, Lyric Lloyd, and Da’Mariz Cooley, and his nieces and nephews, Dajzhonique, Duane Jr, Kioni, Deonna, Kanye, and Ezra Cooley.

Friends are invited to call on the family at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th St., Erie, Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Ryan Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
