Maureen E. Hoffman

Maureen E. (Jones) Hoffman, age 86, of Fairview, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

She was born in Erie, PA on September 3, 1936, the eldest daughter to the late Luella (Haaf) and Maurice C. Jones.

Maureen attended Holy Rosary Elementary School, Mercyhurst Seminary and college, graduating with a BA in English Literature in 1958. She married Robert J. Hoffman in 1960, they settled in Long Island, NY during this time. Maureen taught High School English and obtained her masters in English Literature from Hofstra University, NY. In the fall of 2002, she and Bob relocated to Fairview, PA.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Stacey Hoffman-Donadio of Sterling, VA; and her sister, Judith Herber of West Islip in Long Island, NY.
