Matthew Nichols

Matthew James (Vercillo) Nichols, age 30, of Erie, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, a son to Susan Steffy Peterson and Ernest Vercillo.

Matthew graduated from Northwestern High School and attended Tri-State Institute.

Matthew was a loving father, husband, brother and son. He knew how to make anyone smile and was always full of laughter.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Isabella Peterson; mother-in-law, Sandra Wadsworth; and niece, Abigail Borrero.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Janna Wadsworth; four children, Lillian, Jackson, Mia and Emmitt Wadsworth; his parents, Susan Peterson (James) and Ernest Vercillo; adopted dad, Keith Nichols; father-in-law, Robert Wadsworth; sister, Carlie Lynch (Kevin); four brothers, Brandon Nichols, Mason Nichols, James Peterson Jr, and Blaze Peterson; grandparents, Ernesto and Sandra Vercillo; 23 nieces and nephews; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. 

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc Downtown, 602 W 10^th Street, Erie PA 16502, on Monday, January 18, 2021 from noon until time of service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Rob O’Connell, from Millcreek Community Church, officiating.
