Matthew Dibell

Matthew S. Dibell, age 51, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Saint Vincent Health Center.

He was born in Ashtabula, OH, on February 20, 1964, a son of Donna Councilman Hood and Clayton Dibell.

He served in the United States Marines. Matthew was a religion connoisseur and knew the Bible extremely well. He enjoyed time with family especially his mom, dad and sister, Marcy.

He was preceded in death by twin-sisters, Jill and Jean Dibell, step-mom, Beverly Dibell as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.

In addition to his parents he is survived by four siblings, Velma (Jami) Palochak, Bruce (Molly) Dibell, Rick (JoAnne) Dibell and Marcy (Jim) McKissick; many aunts, uncles and cousins in Ohio, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in both Florida and Pennsylvania.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
