Mary Williams

Mary Williams, age 80, of Erie, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her residence. She was born September 17, 1933 in Ocala, FL, daughter of the late James and Hagar Norman Johnson. Mary was an active member of Miracle Temple Church. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She loved to cook, clean, travel, and watching television and western movies. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Novella Bessent, Margaret Peterson, Emma Johnson, Mildred Johnson, Irene Patterson; three brothers, Frank Ivory, James C. Johnson, Henry Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews. Mary is survived by six children, Dolores Manning and her husband, Willie, Alex, Amos, Jerome, Susan, and Willie Williams, all of Erie; three sisters, Lizzy, Eloise and Geneva Johnson; one brother, William L. Johnson and his wife, Cynthia of Lehigh, FL. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Miracle Temple Church, 245 East 10th Street, Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 11:00 am until the time of the service there at 1:00 pm. Elder Bobby McClelland will officiate.
