Mary Rosenburg

Mary Lou Dodge Allshouse Rosenburg, age 76, of Millcreek, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.

She was born in Erie on September 7, 1940, a daughter of the late Roy and Helen Zehner Dodge.

Mary Lou was a graduate of Academy High School Class of 1958.

She was a cook at many Erie area restaurants. Most recently she had worked at Eat N’ Park Restaurant and prior to that was employed at PHB and R P & C Valve in Fairview.

Mary Lou was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Albion where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a den mother for the cub scouts in East Springfield. She collected angels, and enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, watching the Wildlife and movies with her husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Henry C. Allshouse in 1980; a stepdaughter Dorothy Jean Allshouse Shank and a nephew, Jeffrey Dodge.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband Orville Rosenburg of Erie; a daughter Denise R. Allshouse-Free (Matt) of Greenville, two sons, Simon J. Dodge (Karen) of Jamestown, NY; and David C. Allshouse of Erie; two brothers, Ronald L. Dodge (Ruth), and Raymond L. Dodge (Joyce), all of Erie; five step children, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many step grandchildren as well as her extended family.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, on Sunday from 2pm until the time of the service at 5pm with Rev. Dennis Chludzinski officiating.

Memorials may be made the family in care of the funeral home or to a charity of one’s choice.
