Mary Rose Elegeer, age 92, passed away at Manchester Commons on Friday, June 22, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, on May 17, 1926, the daughter of the late Hugh Boyd and Kathleen Callahan Dunsmore.
Mrs. Elegeer was an electronics assembler at Bliley Electric for 38 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, the International Porcelain Art Teachers Association, and the Erie Porcelain Artists. Mary Rose was extremely talented in the painting of unique porcelain china and was also an avid gardener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose E. Elegeer; a brother Earl Dunsmore; and sister and brother in law Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Kathleen) DeGeorge, all of Erie.
Mary Rose is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a funeral service at 9:00 a.m. Thursday June 28th, 2018 at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West Ridge Road Erie, PA 16506 with Reverend Bruce K. Davis of Asbury United Methodist Church, presiding. Burial will be private at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
