Mary Louise Pellow, age 70, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at her residence after a short illness.
She was born, in Erie, on March 11, 1953, a daughter of the late Theodore and Mildred (Ladner) Nestor.
She worked as a crossing guard for the City of Erie and in the cafeteria for the Erie City School District. She was a Religious Education teacher at Holy Rosary and served as an usher at St. James Church, and as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was a Bay City Cheerleader coach and also enjoyed reading, cooking and baking.
Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, John B. Pellow; children, Crystal Socie (George Jr.) and John Pellow (Bridget) and grandchildren, Christopher Pellow, Nicholas Pellow (Lily), Jacob Pellow, David Pellow and Avery Pellow. She is further survived by her sister, brothers and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on the family at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to a 10:30 a.m. service on Wednesday, in Burton’s All Faiths Chapel, with Father James McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
