Mary Mushrush

Mary C. Mushrush, age 89 of Erie, passed away Sunday January 4, 2015 at St. Vincent Health Center.

She was born in Massillon, OH on January 27, 1925 daughter of the late Michael and Mary Graziano Basta.

Mary was a 1944 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and was a loving homemaker caring for her family.

She enjoyed crafts, bingo, making special birthday cakes for her family and spending time with her friends at Parkside Westminster where she lived for many years.

Mary’s greatest joy in life was her family and spending time with them.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Mushrush, and a sister, Angeline Basta.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Mushrush and his wife Donna of Erie, David Mushrush and his wife Paula of Pittsburgh, three grandsons, Chris Mushrush and wife Mandy, Jason Mushrush and wife Kim both of MD and Jordan Mushrush of Erie, four great-granddaughters, Molly, Madison, Sydney and Addyson Mushrush, and one great-grandson Benjamin all of MD. She is further survived by a sister, Ellie Prischak of Erie and several nieces and nephews including Dr. Andy Prischak and his wife Dr. Sue Prischak.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family and are entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street Erie, PA 16506.
