Mary Mcintire

Mary E. (Ball) McIntire, age 81, of Millcreek and formerly of W. Springfield, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016, at St. Vincent Health Center.

She was born in Crawford County on June 21, 1935, a daughter of the late Levi and Hannah Lee Ball.

Mary graduated from Albion High School and worked as an assembler at Marxx Toys and Emsco. She was a member of the Springfield Service Circle. Mary loved crafting, bowling, Bingo and playing cards, especially Pinochle; but her greatest joy in life was her grandsons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ernest O. McIntire in 2003; and her siblings: Eli, William, Carl, Richard, Kenneth, Milton, LeRoy Ball and Ethel Blood.

Mary is survived by her children, Sandra E. McIntire of Millcreek and Ronald E. McIntire and his wife Margo of Virginia; twin grandsons, Nathan and Noah; two sisters: Dorothy Thayer of Cranesville and Hannah Acevedo and her husband, Lee of Texas and a sister in law, Patty Ball of Fairview. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ronald J. Geisler officiating.
