Mary Mcgowan

Mary McGowan, age 94, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Abington Crest Nursing Home. She was born December 14, 1925 to the late Robert Lee Paige, and Hallie Ann Thompson Paige in Kemper Mississippi.

Mary spent her life as an evangelist with many organizations, including Greater Bethlehem Temple. She loved quilting, her great grandchildren, and could bake the best cake you’ve ever had.

Mary is survived by her children, Dennis (Diane) McGowan, Benny (Latrice) McGowan, Brenda (Rondy) Williams, and Gloria (Mark) Price. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her siblings, Darrel Page, Rose Gore (John), and Maryann Chandler.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lockett McGowan Sr. and a daughter Rosezena McGowan Taylor. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Carrie Ross, Dora Smith Grays, Victoria Cooley Toliver, and Robert Page.

Friends are invited to a graveside service, Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc. Downtown. 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie.
