Mary Lou Slayton

Mary Lou Huya Slayton, age 69, of Erie, passed away on Friday, July 30^th, 2021 at home after a long battle with Cancer.

She was born in Erie, PA on August 14^th, 1951, a daughter of the late Louis and Jennie Huya.

Marylou was a caretaker, homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife! She enjoyed making arts and crafts with her granddaughters! She enjoyed car shows and the Dallas Cowboys with her late husband! She was also an amazing baker and cook and was known for her famous baked beans!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert W Slayton Sr in October, of 2020.

She is survived by her loving son, Robert W Slayton Jr of Erie, two granddaughters Jasmine Chen and Audrey Slayton, two brothers Ron and Leonard Huya and two sisters Betty Jane Baehr and Rose Podgorny, many nieces and nephews and two granddaughters.

Private burial will be in the Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
