Mary Harvey

Mary Ann Postirak Harvey, 96, of Erie, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Golden Living Center - Western Reserve.  She was born on May 15, 1919, in Erie, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Nimet Postirak.
     A graduate of Strong Vincent High School, she worked for Erie Resistor for 32 years.  Mary owned many horses throughout her life and had a favorite named Rusty.  She was a former member of the Hunt and Saddle Club, Erie Yacht Club, and Erie Humane Society; and she enjoyed skiing.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Harvey in 1961 and a nephew, Donald Wiler.
     Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth H. Wiler of Erie; a nephew, Robert Wiler and wife Mary of Palm Bay, FL; and a grandnephew, Darren Wiler and wife Crystal of Erie.
     Services and Services of Interment are private at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Michael G. DeMartinis of Mount Calvary Catholic Church officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Humane Society, P.O. Box 3930, Erie, PA 16508.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street.
