Mary J. Ferrare

October 21, 1959 — May 23, 2024

Mary J. Ferrare, age 64, of Erie, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. She was born in Erie, October 21, 1959, a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Rice Vogt. Mary was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School.

She loved shopping, especially flea markets and garage sales. Mary adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with family. She was a fantastic pool player, and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mary is survived by her husband of 41 years, Pat Ferrare, by her children, Robert Reeger, James Ferrare, Joshua Ferrare (Julia), Jeromy Ferrare (Vanessa), Jacob Ferrare, and Chelsea Ferrare. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, and her best friends, Paula Bellotti, Kathy Harpster, Lanette Decker, and Lisa Smith.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her siblings, Carolyn and David Vogt, and her friends, Sharon LeTrent and Carol Wolff.

Friends are invited to call on the family Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, Erie. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 14 E. 38th Street, Erie. Burial to follow in Erie Cemetery
