Mary Dunlavey

Mary F. Cooney Dunlavey age 100, formerly of Erie passed away December 28, 2017 at her residence in West Palm Beach, Florida.

She was born in Erie on August 31, 1917, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose Straub Cooney.

Mary was a graduate of Academy High School and a member of St. Jude Church.  She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vincent Dunlavey, who was long time director of the Erie Catholic Cemeteries; seven brothers and a sister.

Mary is survived by two sons: Dr. Michael D. Dunlavey and (Desiree Hanzelik) of West Palm, Beach, FL and Timothy J. Dunlavey and ( Carrie Cardo) of Fairview; a sister Natlie Uhlman of Rochester, NY ; four grandchildren: Kevin, Dennis, and Timothy Dunlavey, and Carrie Schlegel; nine great grandchildren: David, Kate, Ally, Shane, Brendan, Addilyn, Caleigh, Loey and Hanna; and several nieces and nephews.

Private inurnment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Local arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home 525 Main St. Girard.
