Mary Demichele

Joyce (Mary Joyce Nolan) DeMichele, age 65, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family after a battle with Ovarian Cancer.

She was born March 6th, 1956, in Erie, the daughter of the late Joe and Mary Grode Nolan.

She loved to read, watch her two boys grow up playing sports, and just being present as the grandchildren played sports, cheer, dance and participate in school functions. She loved spending time with her four grandchildren, playing dolls, Legos and was always stuck with the Old Maid.

She also enjoyed spending time with many family members, friends and her club girls since high school, over 40 years! Joyce’s attitude and humor always brought joy to any room. Joyce was employed at Creative Imprint Systems for over 20 years.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Dennis DeMichele of Erie, her two sons Peter DeMichele and Tony DeMichele, two daughters-in-law (Amanda and Kathleen), four grandkids (Harper, Rowen, Carter and Mackenzie). She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Bridget Hammar (Rick), Joe Nolan (Ginger) and Lisa Clark (Rich).

Friends may pay their respects at the Burton Funeral Home, 3801 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16506, on Thursday September 23, 2021 from 2-4pm & 6pm-8pm.

Friends and family are invited to attend Funeral Services at Sacred Heart Church, 816 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16508, on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
