Mary Czarnecki

Mary Czarnecki age 84, of Fairview, passed away February 20, 2017 at St. Vincent Health Center.

She was born in Erie on July 15, 1932 daughter of the late William and Mary Schmader DeHarde.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Cross Church and was a Eucharist Minister there for many years.

She enjoyed her great grandchildren, faith, family, friends, humor, and feeding birds and animals in her backyard.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Czarnecki; a son, Matthew S. Czarnecki.; and a brother William DeHarde.

She is survived by her three sons, John W. Czarnecki of Winston Salem, NC, Jeffery P. Czarnecki and his wife Lauri of Erie, Joseph D. Czarnecki and his wife Lisa of Winston Salem, NC, a daughter, Christine Shaffer and her companion Timothy Mellin of Girard, two grandsons, Curtis Czarnecki and Matthew Shaffer; three granddaughters, Emily Chesnic, Bethany Kaufman, and Mary Shaffer, a brother Mark DeHarde and his wife Maryanne of Palm Harbor, FL. Further survived by 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend a memorial service at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East Girard on Friday at 11am. with Rev Thomas Tyler officiating. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
