Mary Brown

Mary “Midge” Brown, age 84, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021.

She was born in Willsboro, NY, on March 14, 1937, a daughter of the late John E. Benoit and Grace E. (Peck) Smith.

Midge graduated from Glen Burnie Senior High School (MD). She was retired from EMSCO where she worked as the Assistant Plant Manager and a head of safety and quality control.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed both puzzles and crossword puzzles. Midge had volunteered at the Christian Cupboard Food Bank and Love, Inc; and was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Lake City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. “Pete” Brown, her sisters, Elizabeth Grube and Eva Scones and her brother, William Bennoit.

Midge is survived by her daughter, Leanne Fox, her son in law James Fox and 2 grandchildren, Colin M. Fox and Preston E. Fox, all of Indiana, Pa; as well as a step sister, Edna Marsteller of Crownsville, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were private and held at the convenience of the family.
