Mary Baldwin

Mary Jean Hatfield Baldwin, 87, of 43 Center Street, North East, passed away on March 22, 2013 at UPMC Heritage Shady Side.

She was born in Mentone, Indiana, on January 3, 1926 daughter of the late James R. and Daisey Borton Hatfield.

She was a 1944 graduate of North East High School. She worked at Electric Material Company in North East, for 17 years.

Mary Jean enjoyed bowling, all crafts, especially knitting, crocheting and tatting. She loved raising indoor plants.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Phyllis West and Elnora Tevis; two brothers: James Hatfield, Jr. and Ira Thomas Hatfield, and a son Donald Baldwin.

She is survived by a son, Lynn J. Baldwin of Hudson, CO; a daughter, Judy A. Baldwin of Aurora, CO, a brother, Richard A. Hatfield of Brooklyn, CT; three grandchildren: Scott, Kelly and Jeff Baldwin; seven great grandchildren: Kevin Cherry, Shaneia Baldwin, De'aundre Givins and Tiyanna Givins and Seth, Brett and Kal Baldwin; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Burton Funeral Homes and , 602 West 10th Street, is handling arrangements.
