Mary Armstrong

Mary Jane Armstrong (Nana), age 78, of Girard, passed away peacefully, Thursday August 4, 2016 at Golden Living Walnut Creek surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Washington, PA on April 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Collis) Cololsi.

Mary Jane graduated from Trinity High School in 1956.

Family was everything to her. She loved going to the casino and was a member at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Tri Boro Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Armstrong; and brothers in law, Charles LaBella and Clyde Armstrong.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Younkins and her husband, Cliff of Girard and Jamie Wright, and her husband Michael, of Washington, PA; three grandchildren: Brittany and Courtney Younkins and Jordan Wright; a sister Nancy LaBella of Washington, PA, as well as a sister in law, Donna Livolsi (Joe) of Canonsburg, PA. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East on Sunday from 2pm until the time of the service at 7pm.

Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, PA on Monday at 1 pm.
