Mary Ann Wells

Mary Ann Fillak Wells, age 92, of Cherry St. Ext., Millcreek Township, passed away on Sunday, December 27.  She was born in Albion, PA on November 13, 1928 to late Andrew and Annastazia Fillak.

A graduate of Albion High School, she moved to the Cherry Street home in Erie in 1957.  She developed strong administrative assistant skills and was the office manager for many years at Trico Electric.  She did waitressing over many years since, as well as was a very committed dining room attendant at the local Wendy’s.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John L. Wells, her siblings, Leo A. Fillak, Olga Fillak Wolchik and her husband Leon T. Wolchik, Raymond A. Fillak and an infant Anna Fillak.

She is survived by her daughter Jann Wells of Erie, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.  She is additionally survived by friends and neighbors who provided her companionship and fun over many years.

A private Christian Orthodox service is held on Monday, January 11 at noon and burial follows at St. Nicholas Christian Orthodox cemetery in Pageville, PA.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
