Mary Ann (Allen) Isaac Thomas

January 5, 1944 — December 30, 2020

Mary Ann (Allen) Isaac Thomas, age 76, of Erie, entered eternal rest on Wednesday December 30, 2020.  Born to the late Howard Lee and Lily Pearl Allen in Erie on January 5, 1944. 

She graduated from Academy High School and became a certified nurse assistant.   She was a phlebotomist at John F Kennedy Center and retired after 20 years from the Senior Citizens Health Care Center. 

Mary Ann was a member of Mt. Zion Apostolic Faith Church and former member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church where she was a church mother.   She loved to sing in the church choir.  Her most important role was that of the matriarch of the family.  She was “Granny” to everyone.  As such she was always happy, giving of her time and talents and forgiving others.  In her later years you could find her watching Law and Order and Judge Judy.  Above all, she loved to praise God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Thomas III, her ex-husband Douglas Isaac, and her siblings: Charles, Everett, Marvin Allen and Emma Lee Evans. 

She is survived by her nine children: Stacey (Anthony) Holman, Tracey Isaac, Terye Thomas, Walter Thomas IV (Charmaine), Tiara Thomas, Montrell Thomas, Armonni Thomas, Ontrell Thomas, and Giamonni Thomas; two step-children Lisa Gamble and Larry (Yvonne) Gamble; nine grandchildren: William (Ty-Teauna) Isaac, Alyssa CraigAshley (Teddy) Blakeman, MaryAnn Isaac, Wesley (Markisha) Isaac, Anthony Holman Jr., Elbonique Stevenson, Constance Thomas and Tony (Yolanda) Tann.  She is further survived by 10 great grandchildren, 1 aunt Ruth (Allen) Ranson,, many nieces and nephews,3 special sister in laws Annie Allen, Tonya Allen, and Lena Glover and special family friend Tiffanie Phillips. 

Friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday January 7th at 2nd Baptist Church, 727 E. 26th St., from 10am until the time of the private service at 12pm which will be livestreamed for all to view at https://www.facebook.com/Second-Baptist-Church-381180425564665.   Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
