Marvin Wilkinson

Marvin T. Wilkinson, age 73, of Girard, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 8, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Erie on September 8, 1945, a son of the late Teddy D. Wilkinson and Susanna “Winnie” W. Bannister Wilkinson.

Marvin graduated from North East High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a welder for many years in the Erie area.  He was a member of the American Legion.  Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing being his biggest passion.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Janet Jackson Wilkinson; two sons, William Wilkinson and his wife, Carrie of Jacksonville, Fl and Travis Wilkinson of Erie, a daughter, Amanda Wilkinson; and a step son Donald Jackson and his wife Lisa of Blooming Valley, Pa. Marvin is further survived by six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Thursday from 4pm until the time of the service at 7 pm.  A graveside service at McLane Cemetery will be held at 10 am on Friday.
