Martha Wilkerson

Martha Wilkerson, age 92, of Erie, passed away on March 2, 2016 at Sarah Reed Senior Living.

Born on August 30, 1923 in Erie, the only daughter of the late Alex and Wanda Kiel.

She was a graduate of Academy High School and was employed as a secretary at New York Life insurance for several years.

She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and Asbury Senior Citizen’s Group. She was also a member of the Double Nickle’s Group at Mount Calvary and a Garden Club member.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Wayland “Bud” Wilkerson, and three brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Bolan and her husband Jeff of North East, PA; and a son, Craig Wilkerson and wife Annie of Erie; a brother, Robert Kiel; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street Erie, PA 16502. A memorial service will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church at a future date, to be announced. Memorial contributions should be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1603 West 32nd Street, Erie, PA 16508. Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.
