Martha Waiter

Martha Love Waiter, 97, died peacefully at Corry Manor on Friday January 16, 2015 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born in Erie on June 16, 1917 daughter of the late William W. and Mathilde Shue Love.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in North East.

She was a devoted housewife.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Waiter in 1998. They had been married 61 years. Martha was also preceded in death by her sister Mildred Singleton.

She is survived by a son, William S. Waiter and his wife Barbara of Wattsburg, three grandchildren, Debbie Rogers, husband Kevin of North East, Brian Waiter, wife Michelle of Hummelstown, PA, Barry Waiter wife Danielle of Cranberry Township, PA; four great grandchildren Bella, Brayden, Matthew, and Zachary; and a nephew, Tom Singleton Jr. of Sarasota, FL.

A memorial service will be planned at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
