Marocoo D. Brewer age 44, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie, PA on September 7, 1972 a son of Willie Ed Brewer and the late Carmen Pulliam Brewer. He was a student at Strong Vincent High School and received certificates in electrical engineering and welding. He enjoyed video games, reading, the Buffalo Bills, doing workouts and especially loved being with his family. He was also committed to the Nation of Islam under the guidance of The Honorable Louis Farrakhan and for over 20 years dedicated himself to serving the community by volunteering in basketball leagues, various events and community festivals. He was kind in heart and a friend to all, willing to give assistance in any manner he could.

In addition to his mother, Marocoo was preceded in death by his grandparents; Beatrice Pulliam, Carmen Walker Sims, and Ed Walter Brewer. In addition to his father and his wife Lolita, Marocoo is survived by four daughters; Marocca Brewer, Kadesha McCloud, Jessica Thornton and Amaryam Brewer all of Erie. He also leaves six grandchildren along with two sisters; Chamesa (Benny) Williams of Chicago and Cherea Pulliam Brewer of Erie. Brothers Anton Brewer and Michael Anderson also remain as well as a close friend and cousin Donald Chaney and a host of other cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and a special aunt, Fatima all of Erie.

Friends may call at Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home 2532 Norcross Rd. Erie, PA 16510 on Thursday from 11:00 am till the time of services there at 1:00 pm with Reverend Darrold Hobson officiating. Burial at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Society of Hematology, 2021 L St. NW Suite 900, Washington, DC 20036.
