Marlene Waidley

April 10, 1935 — June 3, 2013

Marlene Hembold Wilson Waidley age 78, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2013 at her residence.

She was a daughter of the late Earnest and Esther Moore Hembold.

She was born in Rochester, Pa on April 10, 1935 and moved to Millcreek in 1959.

She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed going to auto races, loved jazz and entertaining, and was an accomplished cook.

Marlene did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society and the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Webster Waidley, her sister Doris Philpot and her daughter Susan Elizabeth Wilson.

She is survived by two daughters, Therese Andersen and her husband Edward and Phyllis Wilson; two sons, Richard Wilson and his wife Bernadette and John Knox Wilson and his wife Sarah; a step daughter, Renee Jontony and her husband Frank; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A gathering in her honor will be held at the Colony Pub and Grille for her close friends and family.

Memorials may be made to the Emmaus Soup Kitchen 218 East 11th Street, Erie, PA 16503.
