Mark Voegele

Mark E. Voegele, age 74, of Erie passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was born February 12, 1949 in Titusville, PA the son of the late Edward & Eleanor Voegele.

Mark served with the US Army during Vietnam and following his honorable discharge he became involved in motorsports, especially as a designer, engineer, and race car driver for Climax Racing. He was able to travel the country to various race tracks throughout his career. After this, he began his next job, a stay at home father.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita (Floros) Voegele who died in 2018.

Mark is survived by a daughter Sarah Owens, her husband Mitchel Owens and their son Oliver Owens. He is also survived by a sister, Marnee Voegele Booth, and a nephew Matt Allyn.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St., Erie. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie VA Medical Center Patient Activities Fund, 135 E. 38th St., Erie, PA 16504
