Mark Kanash

Mark J. Kanash age 60, of Erie, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie, Pa. on May 10, 1953 a son of the late James Dallas and Muriel Ulrich Kanash. He was a graduate of McDowell High School and spent many years working with the Millcreek Township Streets Department. He most recently dedicated himself to volunteer work with the West Ridge Fire Dept. He was very dedicated to his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his wife Janis I. Boucher Kanash in 1999.

He is survived by a son Christopher J. Kanash and his wife Jessica of Millcreek along with two grandchildren; Alexandra and Lucas Kanash also of Millcreek. Many good friends will miss him.

Services were private at the convenience of the family and under the care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502.
