Mark Horstman

September 15, 1957 — October 11, 2022

Mark A. Horstman, age 65, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2022.

He was born in Erie on September 15, 1957, a son of Ceil Weiser Horstman and the late Frederick Horstman.

Mark graduated from Tech Memorial High School and had worked Air Field Maintenance at the Erie Airport.

In addition to being a Harley Davidson enthusiast, he was a former member of the Perry Highway, Fairview and Lake City Fire Departments; and served as Chief at Fairview and Lake City.  Mark was also a member of the Girard American Legion Riders.

In addition to his mother, Ceil Weiser Horstman of Erie, Mark is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karen White Horstman and her daughters, Jamie Carr (Chris Niebauer) of Girard and Lisa (Richard) Daub of Harborcreek; as well as five grandchildren, Cassie, Amber and Ryan Carr and Ben and Richie Daub.  He is further survived by his siblings, Barb (George) Ruff, Paul (Laura) Horstman, Mary Beth Czerwinski (Tim Rotunda) and Suzanne Horstman, all of Erie and Bill (Diane) Horstman of TN and Joe (Diane) Horstman of AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Saturday, October 22nd from 1pm until the time of the prayer service at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
