Mark Charles

Mark Charles, age 65, of Albion, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie, a son of the late Carl and Lonita (Ward) Charles.

Mark graduated from Fairview High School in 1974. He worked as a welder and inspector at GE for over 39 years, retiring in 2013.

In addition to being a great welder and fabricator, he could fix anything.  He was a motorcycle and hot rod enthusiast and enjoyed shooting pool.  Above all else, he was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. 

Mark is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sally (Durlin) Charles, his children, Ben Leopold, Bud Charles (Kyleah), all of Erie, and Brandy Charles of Albion; two grandchildren, Makayla Leopold and Michael Charles.  He is also survived by his sister, Carla Charles Fleming (Jim) of Hagerstown, MD.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Monday from 4 pm until the time of the service at 7pm.
