Mark Adams age 81, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
He was born in Erie, on November 18, 1937 a son of the late Floyd and Florence Hathaway Adams.
Mark was a 1955 graduate of Rice Avenue Union High School in Girard and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He married Nancy Jean Wurst on October 5, 1957 and they lived in Lake City their entire married life.
Mark worked at Hayes Manufacturing for 20 years and PHB for 21 years until his retirement in 2000.
Mark loved going to the All Aboard Diner in Lake City to meet friends and have a meal. He loved his Paint horses and often rode in the Lake City parades. His hobbies were woodworking and crafts.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children, Colleen Jo, Raymond Floyd and Mark Jay Adams; his sisters, Wanda (Art) Metzler, Evelyn (Fritz) Keller and Donna Godfrey; and a brother, Ray Adams.
Mark is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Nancy; sister in law, Marlene (Donald) Eagley and a sister, Betty (Bob) Pettis. He is further survived by a niece, Chris (Eric) Carlson, and 3 nephews Raymond (Melissa) Eagley, Don (Christine) Eagley and Chuck (Judy) Metzler as well as Laura, Sara, Jenna, Tanner, Madeline,Evan and many other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm and are invited to attend services there Saturday at 1pm. followed by burial at Girard Cemetery.
