Marion Marchionna

Marion Freda Marchionna, age 90, of Girard, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. She was born in Erie on June 16, 1922, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Ruth Anderson.

Marion had been employed as a dental assistant and later worked as an inspector at Lord Corporation. She was a member of Lake City Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic "Nick" Marchionna, two sisters, Viola Messinger and Jean Anderson, and a brother, Fredrick Anderson.

She is survived by her daughter Gloria J. Roach and her husband Alan of Girard, her son, Donald R. Marchionna and his wife Molly of Lawrence Park, a sister, Dorothy Knight of Centerville, PA; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Burton's All Faiths Chapel with Rev.
