Marilyn Pritchard Speier passed peacefully into new life at the age of 80 at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge on Thursday, 17 August, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her father Edward Lafayette Pritchard, her mother Mary Ellen (Molly) Pritchard and her beloved grandson David Marshall Hallman, III.

Marilyn grew up in Rochester, New York, where she attended Brighton High School, graduating in 1955. She then went on to attend Syracuse University where she was an active member of a service sorority.

She remained committed to service work throughout her life, as a member of the Junior League and a coordinator of volunteers for the United Way.

Marilyn enjoyed entertaining and spending time with family and friends, playing bridge and traveling with her beloved husband of 34 years, William (Bill) Speier.

Marilyn was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her treasured family: husband Bill Speier, son David Hallman, Jr. and daughter-in-law Andrea Smith Hallman of Erie, daughter Tracey Hallman and  son-in-law Brett Taylor of Cleveland and her devoted grandchildren, Molly Patricia Hallman and Abigail Leigh Hallman of Erie and Lyvia Rae Hallman Taylor and Graham Maynard Hallman Taylor of Cleveland.

A private family service will be held at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Monday, August, 28, 2017.
