Marilyn M. Lipinski age 92, of Fairview, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at St. Vincent Medical Center.
She was born in Erie on December 8, 1923, a daughter of the late John and Agatha Godlewski.
Marilyn graduated from East High School. She and her husband owned the Sugar Bowl Restaurant in Lake City right after WWII and then she worked for over 20 years for Lighting Systems as a Test Tech.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed China paintings and her family meant the world to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Lipinski; and four sisters; Sister Anece, Irene, Gene, and Dolores.
She is survived by four children, Beverly J. Rose and her husband Howard of Kingwood, TX, Mark H. Lipinski and his wife Karen of Lexington, SC, Jonathan “Leo” Lipinski and his wife Carol of Fairview, and Eric J. Lipinski also of Fairview; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday, April 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church 7100 West Ridge Road, Fairview, PA 16415, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Tyler celebrant. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery.
