Marilyn A. Damico, age 86, of Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Corry Manor.
She was born on April 15, 1934, in Erie, a daughter to the late Walter and Gladys (Swartsfager) Palevich.
Marilyn attended Millcreek Jr. High School. She worked in retail and as a waitress for many years. Later in life, Marilyn would enjoy working as a caregiver. She loved nature and being outdoors. Marilyn had a green thumb for flower gardening. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Marilyn loved to fish and was a member of the S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie for many years. She volunteered and was a member of the John F. Kennedy Center as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Damico; her parents; two brothers, Cyrus Hutsell and Richard Palevich; and a sister, Lawanda Gorney.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Williams) Stepankow and her husband, Thomas; her son, Edwin Williams and his wife, Linda; five grandchildren, Stephanie Hansen, Brian Brookhouser, Joseph Williams, Denise Stepankow and Susan Haggard; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and her longtime partner, Richard Rutzinski.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc Downtown, 602 W 10th St, Erie PA 16502. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the hospice caretakers from UPMC Home Healthcare and Corry Manor for their compassionate care.
