Marilyn Cervik

Marilyn R. Okey Cervik, age 76, of Erie, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, at her residence after a year long battle with cancer.
She was born in Erie, PA on September 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Edward A. and Viola Kubaney Okey.

Marilyn was a Class of 1962 graduate of Lawrence Park High School. She worked at Creative Imprints and In Home Health Care. She also worked for GE Transportation and at the PA State Police office in Lawrence Park, PA.

Marilyn loved her beloved cats and enjoyed shopping, sewing, cooking and working in her yard and flower gardening. She loved decorating her home and enjoyed going for rides in the country. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Cervik almost 40 years ago.

She is survived by two sons, Scott Cervik and his wife Jennifer of Erie and Mark Cervik and his fiancée Emily Williams, both of Erie, a brother, Jack Okey and his wife Karen, also of Erie and four grandchildren, Jacob Cervik, Matthew Cervik, Mark Cervik, Jr. and Megan Cervik. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 12 p.m. until the time of service there at 2 p.m. with Reverend Harry Johns, III. officiating. The service will be livestreamed on our facebook page at www.facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott. All CDC guidelines including wearing masks, social distancing and capacity limits will be followed.

Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
