Marilyn Bach Bush, age 91, of Sacramento, California passed away on May 21st.
She was born in Erie, Pa. on May 3, 1922, a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Esther Biers Bach.
She was a resident of Erie for 90 years prior to her move to California in 2012.
Marilyn graduated in 1939 from East High School.
She and her husband, the late Leslie G. Bush, owned and operated Bush Totem Pole Service Station at 8th and Marshall Drive, and Bush Central City U-Haul Rental and Car Wash on West 12th Street in Erie.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and formerly First United Presbyterian Church on East 8th Street, the DeMolay Mother’s Circle and the Gavel Club.
Marilyn was also preceded in death by a grandson, Todd A. Bush in 1965, a grandson, Russell A. Bush, Jr. in 1998, and her lifelong friend and companion, James Duke, of Erie in 2009.
Survivors include a son, Russell A. Bush and his wife Sherry, of Sacramento, CA, four grandchildren: Gregory Bush, Tammy Bruner, Geoffrey Bush (Wendy), all of Jeffersonville, IN, and Jamie Kain (Zachary) of Sacramento, CA; nine great grandchildren: Steven and Brooklyn Bruner, Kayla, Jackson, Madison, Carter and Kailey Bush, all of Jeffersonville, IN, and Alexander and Annabella Sobrato, of Sacramento, CA; multiple nieces and nephews, and her close friend Lynne Duke of Castiac, CA; and close friends Adam, Tammy, Joey and Krista Hayes of Fairview, PA.
A graveside service will be held at Erie Cemetery, 2116 Chestnut Street, Erie, PA 16502 at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday June 8th with the Reverend John Dyke of Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Funeral Homes, 602 West 10th Street Erie, PA.
