Marianne Shannon

Marianne C. Shannon, of Fairview, passed away December 21, 2018 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Don E. Shannon.

She was born in Erie, PA, daughter of Harold and Rohease Brown Cook. Marianne graduated from Mercyhurst Seminary and from The University of Iowa where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta and played bagpipes with the Scottish Highlanders Band.

Along with her late husband she was owner of the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy on West 26th St.

She bred, trained and showed both miniature schnauzers and shetland sheep dogs.

She is survived by three children: Kathi Tufts and her husband Jack, Julianne Shannon and her husband Eric Johnson and Michael Shannon and four grandchildren: Katy Tufts and Mark, Paul and Ryan Shannon.

Funeral arrangements are private and were held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
