Marianne Joint

Marianne Marie Moore Joint, age 78 of Erie, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her home.

She was born November 21, 1934 in Renovo, Pa., a daughter of the late James A. and Daisy Emery Moore.

Marianne graduated from Renovo High School, and worked at General Telephone, first as an operator and later as a supervisor.

She loved traveling with her husband and her sister and best friend, Grace. Marianne also loved spending time with her family, knitting and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph John Joint, her beloved daughter-in-law Joyce Marie Joint and her son-in-law Norman Williamson.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, James D. Joint; her children: James J. Joint, (Michelle) ; Donald P. Joint, (Brice Brown); Cynthia A. Joint, Charlene E. Williamson, John M. Joint, (Kim); Marianne M. "Bunch" Cheesebrough, (Greg); twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers and two sisters: James W. Moore, Richard E. Moore, Grace Moore Gemballa, Carol Moore Trip, and David L. Moore, (Diana) and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. followed a Mass of Christian Burial at Mt. Calvary Catholic Church, 2022 East Lake Rd., at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Michael DeMartinis presiding.

Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
