Marianne Joint

Marianne “Joe” Joint, age 86 of Erie, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Vincent Health Center.

She was born June 9, 1929 in Erie, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Blossey Joint.

Marianne worked as a quality control inspector and was a machine inspector in local manufacturing working for R.M. Kerner CO and Plastex.

She was a member of St. Joseph Bread of Life Community Church and enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with her family. Marianne also enjoyed bowling, writing poetry, and reading, but mostly she enjoyed being a great mom!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former spouse of 29 years, Wilbert James Edwards along with a brother, Charles Joint, and sisters Patricia Roberts, Geraldine “Agnes” Nosko and Lois Joint along with a son at his birth, Billy Edwards.

Survivors include five daughters: Sharon Hilton of Erie, Geraldine Blinkey (Robert) of Pittsburgh, Bilinda Flack (James), Michelle Cornman (Harold) both of Erie, and Jody Pastewka (Robert). Joe is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren along with a brother James Joint, two sisters: Helen Joint and Charlene Joint all of Erie. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service there at 1:30 p.m.

Burial in Erie Cemetery.
